We are very excited to have the wonderful Icaro Abreu in Hamburg for the very first time! Join us for two days of exciting workshops on 18 and 20 April 2023.
The workshops are split into the two levels intermediate (18 April) and intermediate plus (20 April). On each day, we will have two workshops on specific topics, and which complement each other.
To participate in these workshops, you must have some forró experience already and have been dancing for at least 6-12 months. These workshops are not suited for beginners.
Icaro will explore the following ideas in each level
Intermediate – 18th April:
From roots to university and back:
– reference, turns and displacement – entrances and exits.
– square, double cross and change of direction of on line turns
Intermediate Plus – 20th April:
From university to roots and back:
– playing with the Paulista: difference of movements of 3 and 5 steps
– feet and their games together (swings and tramps)

Non-members: 15 EUR per workshop (30 EUR per day)

Payment will be by SEPA bank transfer. Your registration confirmation email will contain the necessary info. In case any unforeseen changes occur, we’ll inform the participants by email.
Shoes: Please take off your street shoes before entering the dance room, there is a changing room for this – please wear soft dancing shoes with light soles/socks or dance barefoot so that the dance floor stays as beautiful as it is.
